What is the Windows Phone operating system?

A new and strong rival arises from years of tests and improvements to stand up to the well-known Android operating system.

This operating system that has all the possibilities of monopolizing the smartphone market is manufactured by the Microsoft company.

Before describing what is arguably the best portable operating system at the moment, people should know about its history and Microsoft’s experience in this domain.

Microsoft has been trying to find the perfect operating system for mobile devices since 1995 when it devised a new operating system based on the Windows CE operating system that would have been used in the first designed “Pad” device. However, the 1995 tablet was never released to the public due to the high costs of touch screen systems.

The first mobile operating system was Pocket PC 2000 and it was used in some PDAs (Personal Data Assistant) with a touch screen. It was based on the Windows 98 and ME desktop operating systems. The best idea the company had for this mobile operating system was to let third parties develop applications compatible with the devices. Having this capability meant that any request in the application domain was responded to quickly by developers and each user had access to all the applications they ever needed.

The virtual space where users could have found these applications was Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

These devices typically came with a small tool called a stylus because the touch screen technology they used was resistive, meaning input was by pressing on the screen and lacked precision. Over time this problem was also fixed like many others because capacitive touch screen technology has replaced the old one. This one was more precise and simply required a tap on the screen, without applying any pressure.

The operating system had also changed rapidly because Microsoft was always trying to improve its services as any self-respecting company should.

Next up was the 2002 Pocket PC which brought the term “smartphone” with it. The relationship between the operating system and the history of the smartphone is the fact that this operating system was designed to work on a QVGA 240×320 screen with GSM network.

This version was designed to look like a mobile version of Windows XP and also had apps like MSN Live Messenger and Windows Media Player 8 that supported streaming media services.

Office tools also had improvements and were compatible with other non-Windows devices.

After a few more in-between versions of Windows Mobile, Windows Phone has arrived ready to revolutionize everything users know about the portable operating system of a smartphone device.

The first Windows Phone operating system to appear was Windows Phone OS 7.

The structure or interface of this new OS is something completely revolutionary because it manages to offer the phone data combined with active and live icons that are constantly updated from the Internet. This means that all the help a user might need can be provided easier and faster than ever before, faster than any other known operating system, including Android.

The whole concept of this operating system was to simplify each chord and reduce the time to perform each task.

The new interface is so easy to use and logical that any category of users can use it without any complications. The company Microsoft has designed it in such a way that this operating system will become the best help you can get from a smartphone and they surely managed to achieve their goal.

The only operating system that could beat this Windows Phone 7 would be the improved versions of Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.

A prospective customer simply can’t make a better choice than a Windows Phone operating system device as their new assistive smartphone.
