Rangers cannot ride Gaborik

Another night of Ranger hockey and another night of Marian Gaborik putting points on the board. Just 1:16 into the hockey game, Gaborik’s fast pitch made the back of the net to give the Rangers a quick 1-0 lead.

Alexander Ovechkin making his first game back from injury seemed like he didn’t miss a beat. He skating hard hitting shots and although he only fired one shot on goal, he made that shot count as he got it on the power play to even the score at one.

The Caps would improve the game from the end of the first and into the second by shooting the Rangers 21 to 11 after two periods of play. The Capitals were also able to get a 2-1 lead after two scored on another power play goal when B. Laich jumped over a loose puck in front of the Ranger goal and hit it home.

The Rangers would have a few chances in the third and this would lead to some power play opportunities. Mr. Gaborik would do it again to tie the score from a sharp angle that was able to hit the net and even the score at two. The Rangers would pick up their game from there and soon the Caps would turn the momentum in their favor. The Rangers were unable to keep the puck in the cap zone and a run on a loose puck led to a partial break for Washington’s Mr. Bradley and he was able to bury one over Lundqvist’s shoulder for the game winner. The capitalists would also score a goal from an empty net and leave Jardín with a 4-2 win.
