Thick dead skin on the feet

Corns develop when there is too much pressure or friction against the skin. Our skin does this to protect itself from further injury. Examples of this include wearing too tight shoes or clothing, such as socks, that rub our skin. Wearing high heels can also cause calluses, especially if you wear them without pantyhose or any other type of shoe.

Another culprit is walking barefoot. Think about it … what if you walk on a rough surface like pavement? What do you expect your skin to do when your feet are essentially rubbing on a rough surface? You are going to have unsightly corns.

Maybe your problem is not calluses on your feet, but calluses on your hands? Or do you have calluses on your knuckles? Many times, people get calluses on their hands when they are constantly writing, such as when they hold a pen for long periods of time (that is, when doing school work or if you are a writer and still use a pencil and paper), or any activity that create friction. in your hands.

So how are calluses on fingers or hands treated? Relax with your writing instrument. You may be holding it too tightly. Next, hydrate your body. Water is essential, but also use a cream to help heal your skin after exfoliating. Apply generously and frequently.

For corns on feet, soak your feet in warm water for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will help soften thick calluses on your feet, making them easier to remove. Once you are done soaking, take a scrub and gently scrub the thick dead skin. If your corns are especially thick, don’t expect to remove everything the first time. This is a gradual process, so be patient. Dry your feet, moisten them, and then put on cotton socks overnight. Repeat every night until you notice improvement. Then maintain the results by maintaining the regimen on a regular basis.

Also, I would not recommend cutting the corns just because it could cause further injury. More lesions mean more calluses or scars and it is not necessary to add thicker skin over thick skin.

Take care of your feet (and hands) on a daily basis. Don’t skip taking care of your skin as you wouldn’t skip brushing your teeth. You need to maintain good health and feel good about your appearance. Vanity is not the goal here, but feeling good and being confident is. Feeling good on the outside makes you feel good on the inside.
