Denver, the capital of Colorado, is one of the larger cities between Chicago and Las Vegas. 1) Water World

This attraction is obviously enjoyed during the summer. Located in North Denver, this attraction sits on 67 acres and has over 40 different rides. It is quite easy to spend a whole day in this theme park. With free parking and plenty of space for picnics, this is an easy family getaway perfect for a group of friends to have fun.

2) Lannie’s Clock Tower Caberet

This place is located in the heart of downtown Denver in the 16th Street Mall. Live entertainment ranging from musical performances to small plays is a mainstay at this visually unique and picturesque Denver theater. The cabaret has a good selection of food and drinks to consume during performances.

3) Balistreri Vineyards

This local winery is located just 10 minutes from downtown Denver and is open 10 days a week. The tasting room is open for local wine tasting. This family-owned vineyard offers many types of wines, including Muscat, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Merlot.

4) Museum of the Black American West.

The museum was founded in 1971 and focuses on discovering this hidden but huge part of the Old West. In the Old West, 1 in 3 cowboys was African American, a fact not covered in most history books. This unique museum has many original Western farm artifacts and compelling biographies of many of the African-American community leaders of this period.

5) Mile High Market

This one-of-a-kind venue is a large flea market with additional shops, farmers market, antique market, and entertainment center. This is the largest outdoor shopping venue that is open all year round, and there are deals. This place is open every weekend from Friday to Sunday and is located just northeast of Denver.

6) Denver Pavilions

Denver Pavilions is located in downtown Denver, right in the 16th Street Mall. This location is home to many unique boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment venues, including nightclubs and a Denver movie theater.
