Video games teach and keep children safe!

When I sit here, thinking about the kids and what they might do after school can be pretty scary for me. There is nothing like knowing where your child is at all times and knowing that he is safe. Kids can get into all kinds of crowds when they’re in town. There are drugs, alcohol, and gangs to worry about these days.

One method that I have found that will make children understand teamwork, stimulate their intellectual skills and improve their hand-eye coordination is to play video games. Well you say gaming systems are expensive and they go through games so fast my check doesn’t come fast enough.

Well now with the age of technology that problem has been solved. The Internet has a wide selection of video games. You can even get parent ratings and information about them through most of their websites. The best part about this concept is that you can also get many of these games for free. Yes, I said free, at no cost to you.

Would you like to have a free babysitter in the evenings when you just want to sit back and relax after a hard day’s work? I think you’d probably like that.

Obtaining basic human skills and experiences throughout life can be taught to children and adolescents through video games. Let’s say, for example, they’re doing a raid. They are assaulting another group of people with their teammates. It is crucial that they all work together for the best end result. Keeping the right people in the right places, doing the right kind of damage to others, and having surveillance or backup. Without these things there could be no successful efficient raid. You have to use the team and work as one person to win. This can be used later when they need to use teamwork at work.

You can say, “Where does intellectual stimulation come into play?” Well, if you think about how a game is played, you have to put your mind in order and think outside the box to get around certain obstacles. The amount of math, persuasion, and critical thinking in a game would baffle you. You have to think about the way you are going to build your character to get maximum results with only a certain amount of experience points to work with.

The most tested part of this is the eye-hand coordination. Research has been done in many ways to prove this to be a fact. They have even gone so far as to teach some of the military through the use of video games. Video games give you the ability to use your eyes and hands at the same time or else it could be fatal to your game. You must learn to use your hands and have a fast response time on the keyboard and mouse.

The only thing a free online video game won’t do for you that a babysitter will do is feed them, and call their boyfriend to ignore them. Now which would you prefer? Choose wisely!
