There are many things to do in Barbados and many famous tourist hangouts in addition to those found in the major cities. Popular activities in Barbados usually have to do with water sports, boating, diving, and the like.

Other activities are possible and there are several monuments and places of historical importance that can be visited to gain a better understanding of the history of Barbados and the Caribbean in particular. Some locations include:

Climate

Barbados is usually warm and sunny throughout the year. The average temperature during the day is usually in the 85F range. At night, you can expect temperatures to drop substantially colder levels.

Although Barbados is mostly sunny, the north-easterly trade winds that blow through the place ensure that it does not get unbearably hot for its visitors and inhabitants.

The dry season exists from January to June; when the rains come, they often do so in short, quick showers. Tropical storms, however, tend to occur in the hurricane season, which runs from June to October.
