It is generally used to give away at functions. Hawaiians make a lot of money from this flower as it is exported to various places outside of Hawaii. It ships to many places around the world. The only problem during transport is that they lose their freshness. Dwarf Pittosporum is another pretty island flower. Grows up to 3 feet. There are hibiscus that have purple colored leaves and usually grow 15 feet tall. The hibiscus is generally associated with islands. Hawaiians extract the thick juice and make jelly that can be served with meat and bread. Anthurium is another vibrant flower from Hawaii. But this was brought from England. It is heart-shaped and about a foot long. The bird of paradise is one of the most beautiful flowers on earth. It gets its name because it completely resembles the crested head of a bird. This is originally from South Africa.

Hawaiian flowers are also used to make scents. Some famous fragrances are Pikake, Hawaiian rose, and hibiscus. These flowers have very pleasant aromas. The flowers are also used to make necklaces. These necklaces are made of various flowers and they look really cool. The koa tree is another indigenous plant to this island. It is famous for the beautiful hardwood that is used in the manufacture of surfboards and canoes. The Kukui state in the Hawaiian Islands is famous for producing small walnuts.
