GS Warrior’s MVP this season is Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry has everything new around him: a new season and a new coach. Despite all these developments he has reaffirmed that he is the Most Valuable Player of GS Warriors.

New training decisions

The GS Warriors faced a lot of questions in the 2014-15 NBA season. The team lost a 2013–14 first-round playoff series to the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games and after this, the team’s head coach, Mark Jackson, was fired. Although the franchise’s win total increased in each of the three seasons Mark Jackson was with the team, the Warriors’ front office had decided it was time to move on. This bold decision by the office was a subject of heated debate in the media for weeks. Several players, including Curry, were displeased with the move; going public to express their pleasure. Former NBA official Steve Kerr was hired shortly after Jackson was fired, overlooking a lack of prior coaching experience.

Where is the love?

A new coach with no previous experience is not the only problem facing the GS Warriors in the upcoming 2014-15 season. The Kevin Love trade giveaways were heating up this summer. While the Minnesota Timberwolves were looking for a valuable return from their power forward, some teams were consistently ahead of them. The Cleveland Cavaliers ultimately won the toss, but along with that, the GS Warriors were one of the few teams that had a valuable offer for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The GS Warriors were reported to be offering a package revolving around Klay Thompson; The skillful shooting guard of the Timberwolves. After Kerr balked at this potential move, and the Cavaliers offered a package built around Andrew Wiggins (the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft_), Love was optioned to Cleveland. Thompson signed a 5-year, $70 million extension with the Golden State Warriors shortly after his name surfaced in trade rumors. So, with everything in the right place, GS Warriors are ready for the 2014-15 season.

The challenge to victory and discomfort

Through 20 games, the GS Warriors have shown that they can overcome major injuries to key players and that Kerry can maintain his position as the league leader. From all of this, Curry has become one of the best point guards on the team and one of the best overall players in the NBA. Through 20 games, his points, assists and steals per game rank in the top 1- in the league. His 5.1 rebounds/game ranks second among all point guards. These have made him the most valuable player on the team and in the league. He is also one of the favorites for the NBA MVP award.

Kerr had a huge influence on the Warriors players. Plus, Curry’s performance continues to make a sudden impact on the floor. Currently, Stephen Curry is having the highest career of his, in the offensive category, and is showing increased dedication on defense. Unlike. now, without Kerr, the Warriors could be lost in the middle of the NBA’s Western Conference; that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the GS Warriors’ rise to the top is truly a team effort; however, without their leader Curry, they would be nowhere.
