Finding the best Chinese restaurant in Singapore

As one of the largest and wealthiest Chinese communities outside of China, Singapore has no shortage of top-tier Chinese restaurants, and in fact is one of the best places in the world for truly sensational Chinese food.

Finding the best Chinese restaurant in Singapore, however, is not that easy… Especially not for a first-time visitor, who is not familiar with the city, and that is exactly why I wrote this article: To introduce you to Five of the best Chinese restaurants in Singapore.

Crystal Jade Golden Palace is also one of the only Chinese restaurants in Singapore to have its own wine cellar, with thousands of labels from around the world.

Hai Tien Lo It is one of those restaurants where the location plays as important a role as the food itself. Located on the 37th floor of the Pan Pacific Hotel, it offers magnificent panoramic views of the city centre, Marina Bay and the Singapore River… Food wise, it’s Cantonese cuisine at its best, with a slight modern Western twist. Royal China at Raffles is the Singaporean branch of a major international Chinese restaurant group headquartered in London. Housed in Singapore’s most elegant hotel, it specializes in what can best be described as contemporary Chinese gourmet, with a strong emphasis on Cantonese cuisine, but a good representation of other regions of China… His favorites include lobster noodles, Crispy duck in pancake, Roast pig and traditional dim sum items.
