Drive By Police Body Scanners – What about the constitution and search and seizure rules?

Most people don’t like the concept of X-ray strip registration machines at the airport. It just goes against common decency as well as our search and seizure rules in our legal system. It also seems to assume that you are guilty of doing something wrong, even if you are a good citizen living an honest life. It goes against the very freedoms we hold dear in our nation. Okay, so let’s talk about this for a second, shall we?

At some point, it seems that we have let the terrorists win. They damaged our quality and standard of living, caused our taxes to rise, and now we are seeing our freedom curtailed by a paranoid and often schizophrenic security policy targeting our own citizens instead of terrorists. Worse, with all the political correctness and our attempt to treat everyone equally, we are now wasting everyone’s time instead of the people who are most likely to commit the crimes.

And if you think TSA and the airport is bad, and I’m not saying it’s good or bad, things are about to get worse as there are now wearable devices to be used on the streets, TSA style wearable strip search body scanners oh!

There was an interesting article in MIT’s Technology Review recently titled; “Car gun scans raise privacy questions: Police hope terahertz scanning devices could be more effective than frisking people, but civil rights groups are wary,” by Chris Opfer, which was published on January 24, 2012. The article said;

“The New York City police are trying to develop something resembling X-ray vision, raising questions about the legal expectation of privacy in public places. The New York Police Department recently announced that it is working on a mobile scanner designed to detect concealed weapons on people up to 75 feet away The department won’t say when the devices might hit the streets or how much they’ll cost, but the police chief has already praised them as “a cutting-edge effort to deter gun violence.” “.

As the coordinator of a think tank that operates online, I love technology, and I love the fact that we can use sensors and various technologies to protect the American people. However, I also realize that many of these devices are not good for human health or cell biology. We already have too much frequency pollution and rogue waves caused by all this frequency from the ever constant communication systems we already have.

Radiating every passing human being may not be a very smart thing to do. Yes, it might be able to catch all the people doing illegal activities, but it can also give cancer to all the honest citizens of the world. One thing I have always believed is that when a government becomes too big, too strong, and too powerful, it no longer needs the citizens, does not respect the citizens, or fears that the citizenry will overthrow it. At that point, he does what he wants, and eventually he’s so big and powerful that he doesn’t need people anymore, so he summarily targets those he wants to get rid of in no time.

When that finally happens, “this town ain’t big enough for both of us,” to quote a famous old western line. It seems that we need our Supreme Court justices to take a better look at the balance between liberty and security, and to do the right thing. I find it interesting that someone comes up with the concept of human rights and then hypocritically dismisses that same argument by taking away all rights from people. I do not approve, I do not feel comfortable and I am not happy with what is happening. Take note of that, because I expect changes, but I’m not naive enough to expect it. I hope you will consider all this and think.
