Southern California includes, but is not limited to, the cities of San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. Any of these are good Southern California wedding venues, especially if you’re looking for a beach wedding, as all three of these cities are located on or near the beach.

If you are in the Navy, you may want to consider having your wedding at one of the naval bases located in and around San Diego. You’ll probably have little to no trouble figuring out where such events can be held and how your non-military guests can access the base on the big day.

However, you are not limited to a beach or military installation wedding, as Southern California has other locations that can serve as the perfect wedding venue. One of them is the Nixon Library.

Yes, that’s right, Richard Nixon’s library. This location is available for weddings in Southern California. You can have your wedding in the largest public rose garden in Orange County, CA, where you’ll stand among 14,000 or more rose bushes.

Or consider one of the other gardens. There are over nine acres of sculpted gardens to choose from.

If the Nixon Library doesn’t appeal to you, then consider one of the many vineyards or wineries, at least for the reception. You may have to hold the wedding elsewhere, but you and your guests can still enjoy the reception at one of these venues. Many of them have special accommodation for weddings.
