There was another reference that mentioned that baseball was being played on the outskirts of New York City in what was known as Greenwich Village in the year 1823. Another reference showed that the Knickerbockers were the first team to play the first game of baseball. The first baseball club was formed on September 23, 1845.

Baseball is played between two teams and each team has nine players. This game is played with a bat and a ball. The ball is delivered by the pitcher to the batter. The batter hits the ball and then runs to the base. The batter runs to first base and runs counterclockwise. These bases are arranged at the corners of a ninety foot square. The game has nine total innings and in each inning both teams have an opportunity to bat and score and the team’s half of the inning ends when three batters are out.

There are also many youth programs where they have smaller fields to make it easier for kids to pitch and have softer rules than the professional players.
