Have you been dating your man for a while and can’t figure out why he hasn’t asked the big question? Well, below I am going to share with 5 reasons why your man has not asked you to marry him yet. And by the way, ladies, these reasons are straight out of the horse’s mouth.
Reason #1 – They already live together
Do you and your man already live together? Are you doing all the things a wife would do without even being his wife? Now ask yourself, why would he marry you when you are already doing everything a non-titled wife would do?
Reason #2 – He already told you he doesn’t want to get married
Listen ladies. Men are generally very honest about what they want and don’t want. If your man has already said that he does not want to get married, then that is why he has not married you. Most women fall into the trap of believing that they can change a man and get him to marry her later. The chances of this happening are slim to none.
If a man tells you that he never wants to get married, believe him and move on. There is no need to stay in a 5 year relationship that you know will never lead to what you really want, which is marriage.
Reason #3 – See that you have a responsibility
What do you have to offer in a relationship? Do you have many debts? Do you have several children? Do you have many unresolved problems? All of these things make you a liability and not an asset. A man wants an asset; like every woman. So he works on you first. Get his house in order so he can really have something to offer someone first.
Reason #4 – He sees you as the girl having fun
Does your man only call you when he wants to go out and have a good time? Does he only call you when he goes on a fun business trip or when he wants to go out with the guys? If so, he sees you as his good time girl. They can go out and have a good time together, but he will never take them with his closest family and friends.
Reason #5 – You are afraid to get married
He loves you and doesn’t mind telling the world that you are his girl. He even has the desire to spend the rest of his life with you. He just doesn’t want to do it in the form of a marriage. Everyone has a different view of marriage. And for some of us, commitment phobia is a serious and very real problem.
For example, I had a cousin who lost her dad at a young age; as a result she said that she never wanted to get married because of the pain she saw her mother go through. If his man lost someone early in his life or his parents divorced when he was young, he may have a real fear of getting married because of what he saw. In many cases this can be cured with a little advice.
