5 of the worst franchises in the NBA

There are a handful of sports teams that it seems like we will always see compete every year. Whether it’s a team like the Lakers in basketball, the Yankees in baseball, or the Cowboys in football, some franchises are extremely successful and know how to build great teams. They don’t always have to be big-budget teams, either. Look at the Twins in Minnesota or the Packers in Green Bay for two great examples of teams that seem to compete on a competitive level year after year, even though they play in small towns. These are some of the five least successful NBA franchises. While some of them are new, there doesn’t seem to be much hope for them either.

5. The Memphis Grizzlies. They had some good years with Pau Gasol, but the window was small and nothing is looking good in Memphis these days.

4. The Charlotte Bobcats. This is another newer team in the NBA, but they haven’t made the playoffs yet. All of this could change if Larry Brown can continue to improve the team.

3. The Milwaukee Bucks. Sure, they’ve had a few competitive years here and there, but they’re not a newer team like those above them; therefore, there is not much of an excuse.

2. The Minnesota Timber Wolves. This is a team that had a number of competitive seasons thanks to Kevin Garnett, but other than Garnett’s presence, they haven’t done much in their 20 years of existence.

1. The Los Angeles Clippers. Even when this team signs talents like Marcus Camby and Baron Davis, they still can’t seem to pull it off.
