Elvis Presley, the man we will always remember as the king of rock and roll. The legend that teaches us all about the white jumpsuit and the stylus hairstyle does. The real name of this legend is Elvis Aaron Presley and he was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo Mississippi, the son of Vernon and Gladys Presley. He also has a twin brother named Jessie Garon. His father only worked as a truck driver, while his mother is a sewing machine operator.

At the age of eight, Elvis Presley participated in a talent competition at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show as requested by his teacher. And then at the age of ten, he still uses a chair to reach the microphone in a cowboy outfit. His singing of his own version of the song “Old Shep” placed him in second place and he won a free ticket to all rides with $ 5 to spend. When he was 11 years old, he got his own guitar that he bought from the Tupelo Hardware Store and received his first lesson on how to play the guitar with his uncle, Johnny Smith, his father’s brother.

The whole family moved to Memphis when their father was laid off. There, he went to LC Humes High School in September. She works in the school library and at Loew’s State Theater after school hours. At school, he tried out for the soccer team, but was later cut by his coach because he refuses to trim his sideburns and ducktail. He graduated from high school in 1953 and the next day he started working at Parker Machinists Shop. In the same year, Elvis recorded his first album with the songs he made entitled “My happiness” and “That’s when your anguish begins” as a gift to his mother.

On December 20, 1957, while on a film project called “” King Creole, “he was called up to serve in the US Army as Private # 53310761. He completed his training at Fort Hood, Texas and was later posted to Friedberg. To maintain his public profile, he turned down the offer to join “Special Services.” As he is becoming very famous and well known in the public eye, his mother lived like a star, gained a lot of weight, and drank heavily. He was diagnosed with hepatitis by a doctor and his condition worsened. On August 12, he died of heart failure at the age of forty-six. He served in the US military. For nearly three years, then he was honorably discharged with the rank of a sergeant on March 5, 1960.

During his time in the military, Elvis met Priscilla in 1959 at a party in Germany. Priscilla was only 14 at the time, while Elvis was 24. But the serious relationship was there, as they saw each other frequently until he left Germany. For two years they only made contact by phone, until the summer of 1962, Priscilla paid a visit to America for two weeks. The following Christmas, he stayed in America forever. Elvis and Priscilla were married on May 1, 1967.

Elvis made his last performance on June 26, 1977 at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. On August 17, 1977, he was declared officially dead when he was found on the bathroom floor. There were rumors that he died from the drug overdose, but he died from an acute heart problem from hepatitis. Before the day of his funeral arrives, thousands of fans, media and celebrities paid their last respect. He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis with his mother. But then he and his mother were buried again in the Meditation Garden in October when there was an attempt to steal her body in August.
