Taking your minibus from London to Buckingham Palace

London The royal family is one of the main tourist attractions in London. As of today, Buckingham Palace represents the British monarch and the royal family. You’ll want to take your minibus from London to the City of Westminster to visit this historically rich place that used to be known simply as Buckingham House.

It was built by the Duke of Buckingham in 1705, however in 1761 King George III purchased it as a private residence for his Queen Charlotte and called it “the Queen’s House”. It wasn’t until Queen Victoria in 1837 moved there that it finally became the official royal palace of the British monarch.

It has not been expanded since the 19th century, however when the palace chapel was destroyed by a German bomb in World War II, the Queen’s Gallery was built on the site and opened to the public in 1962. The Gallery of the Queen exhibits works of art from the Royal Collection to the public.

One of the most interesting uses of Buckingham Palace was the presentation of Debutantes. The brief presentation of the aristocratic girls to the Monarch would take place in the throne room. These girls would “go out” into society to try to present themselves as suitable for marriage. However, in 1958, the Queen discontinued this practice and replaced them with Garden Parties.

Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll be one of the 50,000 guests invited to be entertained there. I am sure that taking your London minibus to Buckingham Palace will be the highlight of your London minibus tour.
