Laundry – Always wear clean clothes

Many of us would like to wear washed and well-ironed clothes every day. Whether we are working in offices, hospitals, airports, railways, buses or hotels, we all would like to have a clean and flawless appearance. Clothes make a man say an old maxim which means that our personality and gestures are revealed by what we wear in our daily lifestyle.

Most of us are very busy working on our features and there is no time to work on our appearance, while it is very important to take a close look at what we wear on a daily basis. One must get into the habit of wearing clothes that are washed and carefully ironed.

At this point, laundry work becomes very important since suits, pants, shirts and regular handkerchiefs and all our other clothes must be washed regularly with a good powder detergent either in the washing machine or by hand.

Laundry must be done on weekends or every other day and this task is mainly done by housewives. Apart from normal clothing, pillowcases, curtains, sheets, duvets, towels and tablecloths should be washed and changed regularly to give beds and dining tables a fresh look. Otherwise, dust collects on the beds, leading to sneezing, coughing, and sometimes sleeplessness or insomnia.

The beds should also be vacuumed at least once a month to remove dust. Pillows need to be changed every six months. Old sheets and pillows should be disposed of regularly. It’s also important to keep windows, bedrooms and dressing gowns squeaky clean as they collect a lot of dust and need to be vacuumed and clothes need to be neatly arranged.

When washing clothes, cottons should be separated from silks. All heavily soiled clothing such as socks, towels, pillowcases, sheets should be washed separately from regular use.

Expensive clothes that are naturally delicate should never be dried in the washing machine. Colored clothing must be separated from white clothing.

Keep a specific washing time for each particular type of material depending on how dirty it is, eg cotton, polyester, silk, wool. Gentle wash for silk clothes, normal wash for wool and cotton clothes and heavy wash for heavily soiled clothes.

After the clothes are dried, they should be neatly folded, and most importantly, the ironed clothes should be placed in the closet. If possible, provide the label to each pair on their turn of use, ie Monday to Friday, which saves a lot of time in the early Monday morning rush hour. Happy laundry.
