Ibanez SC500 Review

Ibanex sc500, what someone called a special instrument that you won’t find everywhere, is made in Japan.

A hybrid guitar, its strings are made of nylon and it is primarily designed as a classical instrument. The shape of the Ibanex sc500, as well as many of its features, is that of an electric guitar. It has the most solid body of the latter.

Although modified, its body reminds us of a Saber, created in mahogany with spruce top laminate. The outline of the body of the Ibanex sc500 has a trim with three black stripes. The neck, made up of two pieces of mahogany, is bolted on with a four-bolt neck joint that is all access.

The 25-inch scale length found on the rosewood guitar fingerboard is longer than the standard Stratocaster measurement but smaller than a Les Paul. The Ibanex sc500 has 22 frets, comparatively small. Its medium-sized points are abalone and beautiful. Two other abalone dots camouflage the screws or bolts that hold the wooden bridge together.

The Ibanex sc500 guitar body has a high gloss body with clear coating. The neck and back of the headstock have a more matte feel. The headstock is slotted, with an Ibanez logo inlaid on top. The sc500 also features side-mounted gold-colored tuning pegs that include cute tortoise heads.

Six-piece transducers are inside the guitar’s bridge, translating string vibrations into electrical signals. The guitar has a battery-powered preamp, along with a volume pot and dual ban high-low EQ. The back of the Ibanez sc500 guitar also has an extra battery compartment so you can easily replace your 9 volt battery.
