Get your ex back – How to open channels of communication with your ex

Your situation is understandably painful. You might take the separation in stride, but you just can’t accept the fact that your ex has stopped communicating with you. Not even a thank you or a call back to the endless voicemails from him?

Don’t worry; your ex is apparently exasperated with your repeated attempts to say hello, or whatever. The first step you should take in such circumstances is to remain silent. In short, he stops communicating.

The first question that arises in your mind is ‘if I stop communicating, how can I open communication channels again?’ My answer is: adopt a ‘wait and see’ policy. When you keep quiet, you give both of you a chance to reevaluate your relationship. Otherwise how do you expect your ex to think about you or miss you if you are constantly breathing down her neck?

Time is a great healer and can thaw many hot tempers and bad moods. When you stay quiet, you are giving your ex that time and space to revisit the times you both had together. In the meantime, use this time to do something positive with yourself. Read books, catch up with family and friends, take a short vacation alone or with close friends, or do whatever keeps you happy and busy. The longer you keep yourself busy, the less you want to pick up the phone and talk to your ex.

There is immense therapeutic value when you do things on your own or with people you have liked in the past. Try to laugh a lot and if possible look for the company of children since their innocence is contagious to you and your mind refreshes a lot in the company of innocent people.

When you remain incommunicado for a reasonable amount of time, the channels of communication between you and our ex will most likely reopen, and this time naturally and voluntarily. If there was true and sincere love and respect between the two of you, your ex would surely call you or ask you to meet him, if for nothing else, just to check if you are still single!
