If you already have the Kindle DX, I know that many of you will be wondering what is the difference between the two, the Kindle DX and the Apple iPad? This comparison came about when I was considering buying a Kindle eBook reader, which coincidentally happened to be the exact moment Apple’s iPad hit the market.
At first glance, I thought the iPad was just an eBook reader because it looks like one. And when I found out about the iPad’s retail price starting at $499, I started wondering why it’s so expensive for an e-book reader. Then, I started making a comparison about what I would get. I’d consider Kindle DX for the price of $489 or any ebook reader for that matter. The problem with Kindle DX is that it is too small for me.
Both the Apple Kindle DX and iPad have a 9.7″ screen. The iPad screen has a full color touch screen so you can watch HD video while the DX doesn’t. The Kindle DX uses a ink technology that will make it look like real paper and is not straining on your eyes.
At a glance, there seems to be no comparison between the DX and Apple’s new iPad. Apple’s product could be used for different activities, such as reading e-books, e-magazines and newspapers, all in full color. You can also browse the web, listen to music, watch videos and movies, and access all the apps in the Apple Store. The DX appears to be just a simple e-book reader. The iPad is versatile because of the different apps you can experience, while the DX is just your normal eBook reader.
If you want to have an e-book reader that can answer all your needs, there is no doubt that the Apple iPad Computer tablet will be a great choice. But if you’re a book lover and would like a device designed specifically for reading materials, the Amazon Kindle DX is a better fit. Even if I don’t have the iPad yet, I think the Kindle DX will provide the comfort of reading a book for longer due to the screen materials. It is more convenient and has a long lifespan of around two weeks on a single charge.
Whether it’s an iPad or DX, make sure you know all the details before you buy. Make sure it’s worth the price and doesn’t cause you any trouble. Choose the one you think suits your tastes and needs. In general, you will be the one to use it, so be careful when deciding. Avoid having regrets when you already bought one of those two. They both have good qualities to keep you entertained and informed, so it’s up to you.
