Three reasons why you should be preparing now

Do you need a good reason to prepare? I have three very good ones. There are probably hundreds of reasons why people prepare, but there are three critical reasons why you need to prepare now. To begin with, there is a growing feeling in the United States that we are now or already entering Civil War II. Although this idea is shared by many in the prep community, this is not an idea shared by just a fringe element. More and more mainstream people with national reach are expressing this same idea. For example, conservative radio host Dennis Prager recently wrote a column, which is gaining a lot of attention, titled “America’s Second Civil War.” In this article he states, “Americans are more morally, ideologically and politically divided today than during the Civil War. For that reason, just as the Great War became known as World War I once there was World War II, the Civil War it will be known as the First Civil War when more Americans come to view the current battle as the Second Civil War. “

Mr. Prager goes on to say that while it has been largely non-violent so far, there is no guarantee that it will continue to do so. As this war continues, groups take action by breaking windows, burning buildings, destroying and setting vehicles on fire, and brutally beating people with whom they disagree. These tactics may continue to escalate and some have suggested that these riots will move from larger cities to more rural communities. One thing is clear and that is that if these riots continue to escalate, law enforcement will be overwhelmed. If they actually move to smaller cities, the police officers will be unable to do more than watch.

If tensions continue to escalate, and I think the chances are high that they will, protecting your family will be your responsibility. If there is a physical civil war, the chances of law enforcement being able to help you will be slim.

To continue on the path of war, tensions between nations have also been building. China is building islands in the South China Sea. This area of the South China Sea is a disputed territory and China is not building these islands as some kind of vacation getaway, these islands are militarized. ISIS is still alive and has an operational spread all over the world to include right here in the United States. Former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev recently told Time magazine that “politicians and military leaders sound increasingly belligerent and defense doctrines more dangerous.” He also said that “it seems that the world is preparing for war.”

The third reason to prepare is economic disaster. We are about to reach $ 20,000,000,000,000 (that’s 20 trillion) of US debt. This, of course, does not include unfunded liabilities. As of June 2016, the US had unfunded liabilities of more than $ 100 trillion. If that’s not bad enough, according to David Perdu, a junior senator from Georgia when the Fed raised interest rates 0.25%, which an additional $ 50 billion a year, added to US Debt. . If rates continue to rise as they should, the United States will not be able to pay its debt. Direct federal revenue for 2017 is expected to be $ 3.6 trillion, while federal spending is expected to exceed $ 4.15 trillion. I am not a financial expert, but this looks like a government in trouble and heading towards its own version of the collapse of Zimbabwe. By now everyone has heard the Wiemar Republic story of a woman with a wheelbarrow full of money who goes to buy a loaf of bread only to have it stolen (not the money, just the wheelbarrow). The story may not be real, but the idea behind it is. In Zimbabwe everyone is a millionaire and everyone is broke.

A financial collapse here would be devastating. With tensions already high here, shortages of food and supplies would cause a serious powder keg. You will need some way to feed your family and keep them safe. Most of the US population is used to going to the local supermarket or mega market and choosing what they need when they need it. When that is no longer an option and they have no supplies, no idea how to grow their own food or acquire it by hunting or gathering, they will be staring at you.

These are some very powerful reasons to take a second look at preparation. Those people you thought were crazy could actually be pretty well tied to that chair and while there are no guarantees that you are ready for the unforeseen, you will definitely have a better chance.
