Changing a flat tire with a skirt

He has spent all morning preparing, but now that he is on his way to his presentation, he begins to hear a thud. Is that your tire or the road? You stop and, sure enough, your tire is flat.

Where you are you can’t get a cell phone signal. You cannot contact your Utah auto repair company or anyone else. On top of that, you don’t have time to wait for someone to drive all the way to get to you.

This article will help you explain step by step what to do in such circumstances. And that’s simple: change your tire and then take it to your Utah auto repair company for repair. It is not to worry; it’s really not that hard, but it’s dirty.

Getting your clothes dirty is probably the second biggest fear of changing a tire, after not knowing how to do it in the first place. I recommend buying overalls, disposable gloves, and paper towels. Keep them in your vehicle at all times so you don’t have to worry about ruining your clothes.

First of all, move your car to a flat spot on the side of the road. After zipping your coveralls, grab your spare tire, jack, and lug wrench. Check your owner’s manual for the correct location for your cat.

Raise the jack until it touches the car. If you have wheel covers, remove them first. Using a screwdriver to pry is the easiest way. Loosen the nuts, but do not remove them completely.

Then use the jack to raise the vehicle until the wheel is off the ground. Now you can finish removing the nuts from the flywheel. Roll up your sleeves (if you’re not wearing coveralls) and take off the tire.

Take the donut (the spare one) and put it on. Screw the nuts a few turns by hand, then use the wrench; but do not fully tighten them until the vehicle is lowered. Lower the vehicle and finish tightening the lug nuts. Check the nuts to make sure they are tight. Now you are ready to go have your tire repaired at your Utah auto repair shop.
