The Ultimate Campfire Breakfast Sandwich

What do you need:

  • 4 sourdough English muffins

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 cups barbecue pulled pork (may be leftover)

  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese

  • Butter

Melt the butter in a medium-sized cast-iron skillet over an open fire, then quickly brown the buns until golden brown and crisp. Set aside. Reheat the BBQ pulled pork in the same skillet until heated through. Remove from skillet and set aside. Finally, fry the eggs however you like (it’s best if they’re runny!).

To assemble the sandwich, add 1/2 cup of pulled pork, 1 slice of cheddar cheese, and 1 egg. Wrap in foil and place over campfire for 30 seconds or until cheese has melted.

Pizza sandwich with iron foot and campfire

What do you need:

  • Premade pizza dough

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

  • 16 pepperoni slices

  • Oil

Divide pizza dough into 8, stretch and flatten into squares approximately 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Brush or spray cake plate with oil and place a square of dough on the bottom plate. Place 1/4 of the pizza suckers, the mozzarella cheese, the bell pepper, the olives and the pepperoni. Top with another square of dough. Close and lock the cake plate. Depending on the intensity of your fire, cook your sandwich on it for 2-3 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Remove from cake plate and cool on a plate. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
